Welcome to Viewpointimages, the online home for my overseas travel photographs. I have been fortunate to visit a wide variety of places and try hard to capture the spirit and style of the location and of the holiday in my photographs. They are therefore part documentary, part "chocolate box" scenery and part personal reminiscence. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Each gallery in this photo album has an introduction to the holiday and the location, together with some related photographic notes and observations. I've also included links to satellite images on Google Maps if you wish to explore the geography of the location in more detail. Click on a thumbnail to view a specific photo - there is a slide show option available if you prefer. Images are accompanied by a comment for context and identification. Note I have restricted the image size to a maximum of 800x800 to avoid scrolling on the vertical images.
